As you know, our Dear Friend, Jim Casey, passed away peacefully on May 7th, and we are still in shock and deeply saddened.
Jim was not yet 60 years old.
We question, repeatedly, the reasons why the good die young. We compare our birthdates to his, and get get a sense of our own mortality. We grieve for and with his children, and his Dad, who are left behind. We feel their pain, we feel our pain.
It will be a long time before the hurting stops. And yet, the healing has already begun. We relive the good times (there were SO MANY!). We resolve to emulate the goodness that was Jim...the caring and concern for his fellow humans, the joy of life that he possessed, and the sweet disposition that drew each and every one of us to him. We gather together in his memory, and feel a renewed love for one another because of the love he felt for all of us.
"Losing him wouldn't be so hard to take...if Heaven wasn't so far away."

Rest In Peace, Jim Casey. We will never forget you!
