In February, I sent you a postcard with an image of Perfection (photo taken Sep, 2011)
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to see such a lovely flower growing in my garden! But there it thrived, in all it's glory, destined to stay but a day or two on the stem.
Did I pluck it? Nay! But preserve it in digital form didst I, and thus was able to share it with you in the above-mentioned earlier post.
Then what to my wondering eye did appear, upon the same vine, a year later than the last, but just as exquisite? Yet ANOTHER bloom to dazzle one's senses!
(Theses photos are of the same rose...as a rosebud on Sep 27, 2011 and bloomed on Sep 29, 2011)

Perhaps one day you will visit us at the end of September, to witness the phenomenon in person.
Hoping So!

That "is" a study in yellow perfection. You are wise to catch roses on digital because their time is so fleeting. I always feel like a killer when I pick such perfection too, because I know their hours are numbered and I'd rather let them die in their natural state.

I would call that rose..... perfection in yellow. Loved the way it progressed from bud to very open flower.

ReplyDeletean ever-present example of the continuous re-cyling of outcropping and re-traction; of In-Spiration... and of that which appears to be expired.
a living example of Perfection, even as a momentary blip of Appreciation, dancing on a mili-moment of No-time.
thanks, clare!
