I am delighted to report that we have left the wretched town of Issues. What a mess! The town is loaded with Potholes, and unfortunately we hit quite a few. The damages to our vehicles was not extensive, thankfully. Most of the repairs have already been made, and we are continuing on our way, just at a slower rate of speed.
Although it is unlikely that we will be able to keep distance between ourselves and contagious family members, and the snowplow drivers are (according to the National Weather Service) only on a short hiatus, most of the other characters we met in Issues are packing up and leaving us to recover.
The 'little old accident-prone driver' (whom I hope to never meet again) has Good Insurance. The Adjusters have completed their assessments, and after much hemming-and-hawing have approved the claim. The Buick has been towed away from the repair shop in Issues, and is being repaired -as we speak - by a collision repairman from OUR town!
Contractor # 2 will arrive today to correct Contractor # 1's work, and Contractor # 1 has agreed to cover the cost. I was monumentally wrong to refer to them as "crooked". I was upset... throwing expletives around like frisbees on the beach...but that is no excuse. My sincere apologies to these gentlemen.
Guardian Ange L. saw to the resolution of the police situation. Great job, Bro, and many thanks for being there, once again.
The Cheetah is still out on a limb...but it appears the cheetah's spouse is preparing to cushion the pavement below until the Rescue Squad arrives! An astounding development!
The overpriced lawyer...well, some ills just can't be cured.
And the Buried Groundhog? I'm afraid we won't see him until next February 2.
We are returning to home base, weary but intact. Thank you for your care and concern...I am so glad you are here to listen...
xoxoxo,
Clare
